This talk will cover factors that should be considered when managing spatially variable fields. Supporting data will be presented from an on-going project in the Magic Valley for potatoes, barley, and sugarbeets grown under pivot irrigation. These fields are representative of ‘typical’ fields in the region in terms of variability. Specific data will include yield, quality, soil fertility, soil moisture, and NDVI.
